National Geographic Warm Up

2) This is my favorite photo because it reminds me of the story of Moses. The only difference is that in my eyes it is showing us that even in the darkest places there will always be light. another reason why this is my favorite is that the light looks like it is swirling in the cave which makes it look spectacular.

3) I would try to take multiple pictures of volcanoes and choose which one is the most amazing then enter it in the contest.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

1) This story that I read of the missiles was really interesting how the changed the three missiles to four. The military was suppose to take a picture of four missiles being launched but it didn't work so they used photoshop. They used it to clone one of the missiles and make it seem like it was a successful photo taken. 

b)to me this photo is Unethical because it is not a real photo

2) To me this is an unethical picture because it makes this man more scarier and blacker which in my opinion is wrong

b) To me this is the least unethical because you could barley see anythingnwrong with until you look close

Great Black and White Photographers 2

    John Gutmann was born in the year of 1905 in Breslau, Germany, Europe. Gutmann had always wanted  to be a painter so he studied under Otto Mueller and after a few years he became know for his vivid images of popular culture. He then moved to the United States and had brought a foreigners view to the streets of California were he saw many things such as tattoo parlors unusual license plates and golf links. excited he took out a camera an started taking pictures hood ornaments license plats an other things, he also took a notable series of N.Y. City in the 1940s. In germany he had worked as a photojournalist for presse photo before his arrival in the U.S.,when he worked for Pix inc. as a photojournalist (1936-1963). He was also a professor at San Francisco state university from 1938 to 1973. John had also won a Guggenheim fellowship in 1978.His work has been published in major periodicles and is held by such collections as those those of the Amon Carter in Fort Worth, San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art, and the Seagram Collection in N.Y. He then died in 1998 at he age of 93 years old but his work will never be forgotten.

     1)  The rain was one of the challenges because the camera was not suppose to get wet and we had to cover the top and make sure to get a good photo at the same time

     2)  The thing that was in my mind the most while taking photos was the focus I had to press the button half way to focus it then take the picture.

     3) I might do everything again because I had learn the different ways to a picture and make it good

     4) Focusing the camera that is the same thing I would do

     5) I might of achieved framing some of my photos but that was not my goal but to be honest I had no goal

     6) YES because it is fun and I would like to do it again

reaction to the falling man

My reaction at first was wow this is a cool stunt, but when I read the story and found out that this was real and I couldn't believe he would jump off the my reaction went from wow to oh no

The Rule of Thirds

I think tis is a good example of third because now you can see the smoke and what the people do, at the center you can see smoke and people walking on top you can see the buildings starting to get covered by smoke and on the bottom you can see cars and people just walking.

simplicity

This is a good example of simplicity because it is simple and not to complicated for people to see or wonder what is happing
